Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Dollar Tree Shooting

An Akron family is devastated and seeking justice after their 34-year-old loved one was fatally shot. Just days after this tragedy, another shooting incident in the same city has left one person dead and four others injured.

Separate Investigations Underway

Akron police are actively investigating both shootings. The first occurred in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree store, where a woman was shot and killed. A 911 caller reported a lone gunman targeting the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second incident took place less than 12 hours later, resulting in one fatality and four non-fatal shootings. The total number of victims injured in these two separate incidents has reached five.

Reward Offered for Information

Summit County Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting at the Dollar Tree. Anyone with knowledge or leads is urged to contact the authorities.
